1. Overview

Colomo is a macOS menu-bar color picker and color-to-code tool. This policy explains what data the App handles locally, what the website may collect, and how you can contact us about privacy questions.

2. App data stays on your Mac

Colomo uses macOS Screen Recording permission to read the color of the single pixel under your cursor. Color picking happens locally on your Mac. The App does not upload, transmit, or store screen content, screenshots, picked colors, color history, custom formats, shortcuts, or app usage analytics on Colomo servers.

3. Local app preferences

The App may store local preferences on your Mac, such as recent colors, selected output format, custom copy templates, theme choice, window position, permission state, and keyboard shortcuts. These preferences are used only to run the App on your device. You can remove them by deleting the App and its local support data from your Mac.

4. Website data

When you visit colomo.app, your browser may send standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, and pages visited. This information is used to operate, secure, and improve the website.

5. Website analytics

We may use Google Analytics on the website to understand aggregate usage of our marketing pages. Analytics loads only after you consent through the cookie banner. Google Analytics may process information such as page views, device information, approximate location, and shortened or anonymized IP information, depending on Google's current service behavior and your browser settings.

6. Cookies and local storage

The website uses local storage and similar browser technologies for theme preference, cookie consent, and analytics consent. Analytics cookies or similar identifiers are used only if you consent. See the Cookie Policy for more detail.

7. Sharing and processors

We do not sell or rent your personal information. Website analytics data may be processed by Google as our analytics provider. We may disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights, or to operate the website and App safely.

8. Retention and deletion

App preferences remain on your Mac until you delete them. Website analytics retention is controlled through Google Analytics settings. If you contact us by email, we retain the message as long as needed to respond and maintain support records.

9. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, object to, or restrict processing of your personal data. To make a privacy request, email support@colomo.app.

10. Children

Colomo is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

11. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page will reflect the latest revision.
